The Doctoral Dissertation Award (DDA-LOG) is aiming at (i) promoting research on logistics and supply chain; (ii) offering recognition of significant work in the field; (iii) supporting young researchers to continue their work during the first years of their career; (iv) encouraging young researchers to become members of Mexican Logistics and Supply Chain Association (AML).
The DDA-LOG is issued by the AML and is awarded at each CiLOG conference. The purpose of the award is to distinguish an outstanding PhD thesis for their contribution to the interdisciplinary research on Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain. It will be awarded for the second time at the CiLOG 2020 conference.
Download rules and guidelinesThe DDA-LOG is open to receive doctoral theses in a field related to logistics or transportation or supply chain that have been officially completed between 6 months and five (5) years before August 10 of the year in which you are considering participating.
The deadline for the present edition is 10 August of each year.
To be considered, a dissertation should be nominated by the supervisor of the Ph.D. thesis (one of them in case of multiple supervisors). The supervisor of the dissertation is asked to provide the jury with the following six documents:
| 1.- The text of the dissertation in PDF format. |
| 2.- An extended abstract (up to 5 pages) of the dissertation; this abstract should be written in English. |
| 3.- If the dissertation is not written in English, a paper in English authored (or co-authored) by the author of the dissertation and describing the core ideas of the thesis. This paper should preferably have been published in or submitted to an international journal. |
| 4.- Nomination letters (or reports) from two referees selected by the dissertation supervisor, supporting the submission and stating their assessment of why the thesis should win the award. |
| 5.- A certificate of completion or letter from their current graduate school or university office signed by the university official (ex: dean, director, chancellor’s office, etc.). No personal letters or emails from faculty or referees can be substituted for this as compliance. |
| 6.- An up-to-date CV of the candidate, including a list of publications. |
| No nomination will be considered without these items. |
